Lowndes Square in Belgravia is renowned for its upmarket, terraced properties. Our client had acquired a Grade II listed former embassy building at this address, and planned to redevelop it for residential use.
We were commissioned to provide designs for all the mechanical, electrical, public health and lift services. Being a listed building these required a particularly sensitive approach, and we worked very closely with the client and the rest of the design team to ensure they were unobtrusive. Our subsequent site supervision duties verified that the standard and quality of the engineering services installation didn’t compromise the building’s aesthetics.
The project involved the creation of nine individual properties, ranging from studio flats to larger apartments. Every property was fitted out to a very high standard, including comfort cooling to each one. For the apartments that had been purchased off-plan we tailored the services to the bespoke requirements of the tenants.
