ICL Tower, Putney Wharf
Prior to an award-winning redevelopment, ICL Tower was an office block built in the 1960s. Today, following its major refurbishment - part of Wandsworth’s waterfront regeneration project - the tower is a mixed-use building that stands as a landmark on the southern banks of the Thames.
We were appointed to undertake detailed design duties for the mechanical and electrical building services including the public health and lifts installations. Our external lighting designs have also ensured the iconic frontage is as striking at night as during the day.
The unmistakable, 18-storey curved frontage, was built on to the original office structure. Designed to reflect the prow of a ship, this part of the building houses 210 luxury riverside apartments. Our schemes enabled VRV air conditioning throughout the building and to each individual apartment.
As well as a gym, security and private parking facilities for the residents, the tower also accommodates retail and restaurant units at ground floor level.
