Kings Theatre and Theatre Royal, Glasgow

SVM was appointed by the Ambassador Theatre Group to provide Mechanical and Electrical services for the ongoing services replacement of these two major Glasgow landmarks, protected under listed building consent and Historic Scotland criteria.

This project involved works to various areas of the buildings including 1600 seat auditoriums, staging areas, studios, control rooms and offices. SVM provided a design for new auditorium ventilation, electrical services, emergency lighting assessment and upgrade and main power supply alterations.

This included surveys to identify any pre-existing non compliant designs and analysis of trends within the thermal environment of the auditorium.
