Lift Refurbishment
In addition to its core business of container shipping, Sea Containers is the company responsible for running Seacat, Hoverspeed and the Orient Express.
Sea Containers House is a landmark building located on the banks of the Thames.
As part of the landlord's refurbishment plans, SVM Lift Consult was appointed to manage the modernisation of the twelve lifts in this building.
With such a major refurbishment it was necessary to liaise closely with the tenants (including Customs and Excise) and the project managers in order to ensure measures were in place for minimum disruption.
SVM was required to develop a programme of works that ensured the continuing operation of the building whilst allowing the contractors to install the new gearless lifts.
