Jewish Museum
Major Development Project
SVM are currently undertaking the M&E designs with the Jewish Museum to provide a four fold increase in size to their existing Museum. This requires the adaptation of an existing adjacent building and extension of the Building Services systems from the current Museum into the new building.
The project offers significant challenges in working within a tightly constrained site, surrounded by residential buildings. In addition to this the level of extension to the existing Mechanical and Electrical services requires a significant level of detailing to ensure the seamless operation of the Museum.
Areas created within the completed Museum will include high quality galleries, BS5454 archive storage, education areas, cafe, kitchen, offices and a multi purpose theatre.
SVM are part of a design team led by architects, Long and Kentish.
