Hull History Centre
Library and Archive - University of Hull
The design work for the New Hull History Centre commenced in early 2005 and is now well developed to produce a Library and Archive to house both the City and University archives.
Areas within the proposed building include reading rooms, conservation rooms, offices, archive stores, lecture theatres, cafe and a covered arcade.
Detailed workshops have been held with the Client Stakeholder groups in developing the detail of the design to each space.
SVM are engaged to undertake all elements of the M&E services design, specific additional requirements have been:
- Development of low energy passive design solutions.
- Close Control environment for archive stores to BS5454.
- Highly integrated M&E / Architectural interfaces including a high level of concealment of services.
