Edotech Limited

Edotech was conceived in 1993 as a technology venture between the Barclays banking group and IBM to meet the Bank's need for digital document printing services. This proved to be very successful and today is operating as Edotech Limited. The company provides specialised laser printing services and complete communications solutions to a variety of customers, including Barclays.

Thousands of documents are produced each day for clients including bills, statements, marketing letters, investment reports and similar services.

Edotech has enjoyed tremendous growth and as a consequence needed to relocate their hi-tech operation to new premises.

SVM was commissioned to design the M&E services. The design period occurred almost simultaneously with construction and close liaison with the client and contractor was essential. Downtime for the operation had to be kept to an absolute minimum with the new premises opening and operational on time.

Standby generators were included in the design and specialist environmental control was critical to the Edotech operation.
