Mental Health Unit
SVM are currently providing Mechanical, Electrical and Lift Engineering consultancy work associated with the complete refurbishment of the 5500m2 Block M Mental Health Unit (MHU) at Northwick Park Hospital. The scheme also incorporates the construction of two new wings consisting of 45 bedrooms with a Clinical Treatment Suite, Therapy rooms, and admin and outreach offices.
The designs over came specific challenges, providing anti-ligature fittings and other elements of secure installation design.
The designs incorporate low energy saving features such as high efficiency lighting with presence sensors. Also sun pipes have been provided along with wind-catcher natural ventilation units.
